As California’s textile stewardship program continues to evolve, many apparel, footwear, and household textile companies are closely following regulatory developments and evaluating what emerging requirements could mean for their businesses. Following the July 1 statutory registration deadline established by California’s Responsible Textile Recovery Act of 2024 (SB 707), producers that have registered with Landbell USA, the state’s approved non-profit Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO), will have access to additional opportunities to stay informed and engaged. , Landbell USA is launching Producer Pulse Listening Sessions, an exclusive forum for registered producers to discuss implementation developments, share perspectives, and participate in meaningful industry dialogue.
These sessions will be held approximately two weeks after each informal CalRecycle textile stewardship workshop. They will provide a dedicated space for producers to discuss proposed regulatory concepts, explore potential operational impacts, compare perspectives with peers, and share feedback on issues that will shape California’s textile stewardship program.
A Forum Designed for Producer Engagement
Producer Pulse Listening Sessions are not webinars, presentations, or formal hearings. They will be structured as an open discussion forum created specifically for producers navigating California’s Responsible Textile Recovery Act of 2024 (SB 707). Each session will begin with a brief recap of key topics discussed during the most recent CalRecycle workshop, followed by a producer-led conversation focused on questions, concerns, and real-world business considerations.
Participants are encouraged to join when their schedule allows, stay for as long as they wish during the allotted hour block, and contribute at whatever level they are comfortable with. The goal is to create a welcoming environment where producers can better understand regulatory developments and discuss how proposed requirements may affect their organizations.
Exclusive Access for Registered and Compliant Producers
Producer Pulse is one of several resources coming available exclusively to producers that have registered with Landbell USA. Registered producers will be able to voice feedback and company perspectives related to ongoing regulatory updates and engage directly with both Landbell USA and fellow producers as California’s textile stewardship framework develops.
These discussions are intended to help producers stay informed, prepare for future implementation milestones, and better understand emerging regulatory concepts that may impact their businesses.
To encourage candid discussion, sessions will not be recorded. However, Landbell USA intends to use feedback, themes, and operational insights shared during the discussions to help inform future stakeholder engagement efforts and feedback provided to CalRecycle. Individual comments will not be attributed to specific companies without permission, and anonymous feedback opportunities will also be available.
Why Producer Pulse Matters
California’s textile stewardship regulations are under development, and many producers continue to seek clarity on key topics such as producer definitions, covered products, reporting obligations, online marketplaces, and implementation requirements. Producer Pulse provides a consistent forum for registered producers to stay informed, ask questions, and help ensure industry perspectives remain part of the conversation.
By bringing producers together on a regular basis, Landbell USA aims to foster collaboration, improve understanding of regulatory developments, and provide a venue where practical business considerations can be discussed openly among stakeholders facing similar challenges.
Join the First Producer Pulse Session
The inaugural Producer Pulse Listening Session will follow CalRecycle’s Textile Stewardship Informal Regulatory Concepts Workshop scheduled for August 13, 2026. Discussion topics are expected to include producer definitions, online marketplaces, and PRO submittals.
